The Cathedral was built in Romanesque style in 1201. It was enlarged into its present form as a Gothic cathedral between 1450 and 1520, at which time it received its magnificent altarpiece by Bernt Notke, the font and frescoes. The cathedral is frequently used for concerts as well as normal services.
On Sundays and church days the Cathedral is only open for churchgoers.

ARoS is an international art museum in the centre of Aarhus, second city in Denmark The ARoS collection contains more than 8,000 works, including masterpieces by Danish and international artists.
From the rainbow you can move around in a 150 metre long, circular panoramic path with 360º views of the surrounding city. Your rainbow panorama also ensures full accessibility for those with impaired walking.

Take the journey to the top of Aarhus Øje (Aarhus Eye), where you can experience one of Denmark's most breathtaking views. The destination is located in Denmark's tallest building, Lighthouse.
Step into the high-speed lift and feel the rush as you reach the top of Aarhus Øje, 142 metres above the ground, in less than 30 seconds. The highlight of Aarhus Øje is, of course, the breathtaking view from the 44th floor. From this spectacular vantage point you will experience a panoramic view of Aarhus Bay, the city skyline and the surrounding landscape.

The Latin Quarter is the oldest and one of the most charming quarters in Aarhus. It appeared between the late 14th century after the city had been given permission to demolish the old Viking fortifications.
In the Latin Quarter you find a vibrant atmosphere. The cafés are filled with people, the streets are narrow and cobblestoned, all providing the perfect setting for the small, chic shops selling one-off items in the area.
